Tripwire Interactive has announced that it has launched the open beta test for Rising Storm 2: Vietnam. The full retail version will be released later this month.
During the open beta test players will be able to access all of the content included in the game. Those who wish to host their own servers will also be able to do so, because the studio has already released the required dedicated server files.
The open beta test will be available on Steam until May 22nd 2017 and the full retail version will launch a week later on May 30th 2017.
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is said to be a hardcore tactical first person shooter game set in the "brutal killing fields of the Vietnam War".
The game aims to be an authentic recreation of the Vietnam War, allowing players to join the fight on both sides of the war: the powerful United States Military or the fearless Vietnamese resistance fighters.
The new game is the direct sequel to the original shooter game Rising Storm that was released in 2013.
At the release of the game, the Standard Edition will be priced at $24.99 in North America and €22.99 in Europe and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $29.99 in North America and €27.99 in Europe.
The pre-purchase discount offers the Digital Deluxe Edition version at $22.49 in North America and €20.99 in Europe from now until launch.
