Epic Games has announced it will shut down its free-to-play MOBA game Paragon. The game was announced in 2015.
According to the announcement, the MOBA game was unable to attract enough players to be sustainable.
The studio further notes that it "has failed" the game's playerbase because it "didn't execute well enough" to deliver on the promise of Paragon.
When the game launch in 2016 it received above average press coverage because the game provided a unique flavour to the MOBA genre. However, after its release popularity slowly faded away due to the studio's average marketing campaigns.
The studio will provide a full refund to every Paragon player for every purchase on any platform. The refund will come directly from Epic Games instead of platform providers or retailers.
The Paragon servers will shut down on April 26, 2018.
