EA Games has released a new gameplay trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront 2. The game is said to feature three times as much content as the 2015 Star Wars: Battlefront game.
The game is said to be a lot bigger than the EA's original Star Wars: Battlefront game that released in 2015 as the new game will feature three times the content. The game will feature content from all eras of the franchise.
For Star Wars: Battlefront 2 development studio EA Dice will once again be developing the game's multiplayer component. The singleplayer campaign is being developed by development studio Motive and development studio Criterion is working on space battles.
The singleplayer campaign of the game is mainly played through the eyes of Imperial Commander Iden Versio, though she is not expected to be the only playable character.
During the war Commander Versio was given command of an elite Imperial unit called Inferno Squadron. She participated in the Battle of Endor and witnessed the destruction of the second Death Star, and decided to avenge the Emperor with her team.
It is rather rare that a Star Wars game is experienced from the Imperial side of the conflict and as such allows for many new gameplay mechanics to be implemented that have not been seen in the videogame franchise before.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 launches on November 17th 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
