The adventure game Firewatch will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch later this year, indie development studio Campo Santo has announced.
According to a recent announcement, the studio is currently working on "stripping" much of the game's tech down to the studs to make rendering and loading models and other assets faster to make a Nintendo Switch release possible.
The optimizations will not only affect the Nintendo Switch release. The studio hopes to improve the current builds for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as well.
In addition to optimizations, the new version is said to contain various other changes, including user interface tweaks and optimized controls to fully support Joy-Con controllers.
A release date for the Nintendo Switch version of Firewatch has yet to be announced.
