Starbreeze Studios has announced that it will be bringing the popular bank-robbing co-op game Payday 2 to the Nintendo Switch. The game is expected to launch this fall.
In a recent press release the studio states that it is currently developing the title for the Nintendo Switch console. It will feature the same maps and the same objectives as the original title. Whether additional objectives will be included in the Nintendo Switch version is currently unknown.
The game is expected to feature tweaked user interfaces and a reworked control scheme to fit the console, though no details on that have been released just yet. Whether the game will include all the paid and free updates that have been released since its debut in 2013 is also unknown.
Starbreeze Studios acquired all rights to the Payday franchise in May 2016. The studio is currently also working on Payday 3 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Payday 2 was already available on the PC since its release in 2013 and is also available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
