Valve has announced it will introduce Steam Link support for Android and iOS devices this month. The company will release an app that allows streaming to these devices.

According to a recent announcement, the mobile app will work similarly to the current Steam Link hardware and allows players to connect and stream gameplay from their PC to these devices.

Devices connected to a host system via 5 GHz Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet connection will be able to make full use of Steam's in-house streaming in the same way that Steam Link hardware currently works.

If connected via Wi-Fi the quality and latency of the stream will depend on the signal strength.
