Lego Worlds gets new Sandbox Mode via free update
Friday, May 26, 2017 - 10:35 GMT

TT Games has announced that it has launched a new update for the Lego building game Lego Worlds. The update adds the new Sandbox Mode to the game.

The Sandbox Mode has been one of the most requested features since the game came out of early access because the final retail version of the game didn't feature the same creative freedom the early access version did.

In Lego Worlds players can explore a procedurally-generated world made entirely of Lego bricks which players can freely manipulate and dynamically populate with LEGO models.

The game world features a wide variety of content: from cowboys and giraffes to vampires and polar bears, to steamrollers, race cars, and colossal digging machines.

Players also have access to a multi-tool to shape environments and alter any world to your liking: by raising the terrain to create vast mountain ranges, or by entering the Brick-by-Brick editor to build anything they can imagine.

When opening the new Sandbox Mode players will instantly have access to all of the bricks included in the game, which can in turn be used to start building structures. However, some of the rarest, harder to find creatures will be locked until players have found them in the game's Adventure Mode.

The new update also comes with several other changes, such as support for Early Access worlds in Sandbox Mode, tweaks to the user interface, bugfixes and other small tweaks. A full list of changes is available on the game's Steam community page.

Lego World launched on March 10st 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

This comment has been removed. Didn't care for the adventure mode thing, but might get this now that sandbox is available. Still don't like the user interfaces though.
