Development studio ArenaNet has released the first episode of Guild Wars 2's fourth Living World Season. The new Daybreak episode continues the story of the game's second expansion pack Path of Fire.

In the new episode players discover what happened to dragon hatchling Aurene as they continue to see the effects of Balthazar's fight with Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik.

The new episode features a brand-new map to explore, Isle of Istan, the new Twilight Oasis Fractal map, the new Hall of Chains Raid Wing and several small quality of life changes.

In our review of Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire we gave it an 8 out of 10 score, praising the introduction of mounts, its soundtrack and storytelling, but also noted that the expansion pack lacks worthwhile repeatable content.

The new content is now available free of charge for those who log in to the game before the next Living World episode launches.
