The PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Miramar desert map has received several significant changes to make areas more appealing. The changes were introduced via the latest update.
According to a recent announcement, the areas affected by the changes are those in the northern regions of the map. These areas were often skipped because of its poor terrain and loot availability.
Most notable are the introduction of a lake in the north, the new village Alcantara in the northwest, and several new off-road paths in the northeast.
In addition to physical changes, the northern regions are now also said to feature more higher-tier loot to further incentivize players jumping down in these areas.
