Gun Media has announced that it has delayed the release of Friday the 13th: The Game until early 2017. The game developer announced the delay earlier this week on the game's Kickstarter page.
According to the developer the game has been delayed because it wants to add a singleplayer campaign to the game. When the game was first announced the game would only feature a multiplayer experience. The game will also be getting AI bots in multiplayer sessions.
The developer notes that it will use the extra time to lay down the groundwork for the singleplayer campaign while continuing development of the multiplayer portion of the game by adding additional content.
Friday the 13th: The Game is now scheduled to launch Spring 2017.
