Sony has announced it has sold roughly 6 million PlayStation 4 consoles during the 2017 holiday season. The figure shows the console's popularity still drives impressive sales.
According to a recent press release, the company has sold 5.9 million units during the 2017 holiday season. In total the company has sold more than 73.6 million units worldwide since the console's launch.
In addition, Sony is reporting more than 55.9 million PlayStation 4 games were sold worldwide during the 2017 holiday season. This sales figure includes digital downloads on its own PlayStation Store.
In total more than 645 million PlayStation 4 games were sold since the console's release back in 2013.
