Microsoft has announced that it will be releasing Age of Empires: Definitive Edition on February 20, 2018. The game was supposed to release in October but was delayed.
The Definitive Edition of the game features a graphical overhaul, new multiplayer functionality, increased population limits, improved user interfaces, a reorchestrated soundtrack and bugfixes. The game will also support 4K resolution rendering.
A closed beta test for the game's multiplayer functionality is currently ongoing. Those interested are still able to sign up for a chance to play before the game's release in February.
Age of Empires: Definitive Edition launches on February 20, 2018, exclusively for PC.
