Microsoft confirms E3 2019 press conference
Tuesday, April 16, 2019 - 18:28 GMT

Microsoft has confirmed it will be hosting a press conference during E3 2019. The Xbox E3 Briefing will take place on June 9, 2019.

Just like last year, the media briefing will be hosted at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles. This venue is close to the L.A. Convention Center where the trade show is taking place. The event will be broadcasted live on several streaming platforms, including YouTube and Twitch.

The event will take place on June 9, 2019, at 1PM PT / 4PM ET / 8PM GMT. A day later, on June 10, 2019, the company will broadcast a second stream in which it will showcase more products.

The media briefing is expected to focus on game streaming in order to compete with Google Stadia. The company was already rumored to be entering this market later this year after an internal e-mail was leaked on social media.

Microsoft's rival Sony will not be hosting a press conference during the expo because it decided to broadcast a pre-recorded livestream instead. It is the first time that Sony will not be organizing an event during the trade show.
