EA Dice has announced the release date for the upcoming Battlefield 1 downloadable content pack They Shall Not Pass. The content pack is the first of four to be released for the game.
The new maps included in the downloadable content pack are Verdun Heights, Fort de Vaux, Soissons and Rupture. The maps feature locations that were also shown in the early map concept artwork that was released in December.
Aside from the new maps the content pack will also introduce a new game mode to the game dubbed Frontlines. The game mode is described as a mixture between the game's existing Conquest and Rush game modes.
In frontlines two teams battle against each other to conquer flagpoles. Once the enemy headquarter flagpole is controlled by the opposing team the multiplayer match turns into a Rush mode where the team has to attack or defend telegraph poles.
The content pack will also feature several new vehicles, including the Char 2C tank, the St. Chamond tank, and several new weapons, including the stationair Siege Howitzer weapon, and a new Elite class called the Trench Raider.
Earlier this week EA Dice also released the first details of all four downloadable content packs that will be released throughout the year.
They Shall Not Pass is the first content pack for Battlefield 1 set to launch on March 28th 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The content pack will be available two weeks early, on March 14th 2017, for those who have purchased the game's season pass.
