New online advertisements for the second upcoming Guild Wars 2 expansion pack confirm that players will be returning to "The Land of Nightfall and The Crystal Desert".

The new advertisements confirm the rumors that the game's new second expansion pack would take players back to Elona.
The second expansion pack was announced yesterday, hours after Guild Wars 2 developer ArenaNet launched the sixth episode of the game's third Living World season.

The new advertisements may have inadvertently released the setting of the second expansion pack too early.

The final episode of the third Living World season did hint towards a return to The Crystal Desert, however it did not mention Elona being a major part of that setting.

The advertisements were taken offline again hours later.

According to the announcement, the studio will be officially revealing the second expansion pack on August 1st, 2017.

The reveal of the second expansion pack will be streamed live via YouTube, Twitch and Facebook.

The game's first expansion pack Heart of Thorns released on October 23rd, 2015.

The last time players got to explore Elona was in October 2006 when the expansion pack Nightfall for the original Guild Wars game was released.
