The team behind the opensource port of Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, better known as OpenRCT2, has released a new stable version of the game bringing bugfixes and additional features that enhance gameplay and allow further settings customization. OpenRCT2 aims to bring the classic Roller Coaster Tycoon game to modern operating systems by rewriting the engine while staying true to the original game -- while at the same time adding upon the experience by bringing unique new features.

Noteworthy changes in this version include full native OSX app support, additional performance improvements and bugfixes that remedy various de-synchronisation issues when playing multiplayer.

The opensource port of the game requires the original game, which is still available for purchase from Steam or GOG, in order to play. A full changelog is available on the official website.
