A new PC update for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has fixed several bugs. The update also introduces new lootbox content.
The new update for the PC version of the game contains bugfixes for several issues that hindered gameplay. Most noticably is the first result of an ongoing attempt to make the game run at expected stable frame rates.
With the new patch players will notice slightly higher frame rates when moving around in the lobby area before a match starts. Frame rates during the actual match are also slightly improved.
Other issues that have supposedly been fixed are intermittent character teleporation when landing with a parachute, character animations being stuck, red zones disappearing, stuck vehicles and not being able to walk through open doors.
Other noteworthy changes are updated squad team colors to better reflect their callout names, new reporting options for cheaters and an updated design for the energy drink item.
In addition, the update also introduces new lootbox content. The new Desperado and Biker lootboxes include new outfits that change your characters appearance.
Both new lootboxes have a 40% drop rate and the previous Wanderer and Survivor lootboxes have a 10% drop rate.
The PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds 1.0 PC update #2 is now available.
