Nintendo has announced that it will not be hosting a press conference during E3 2017. It will be the second year in a row that the company will not be hosting a press conference during the event.
The company was expected to host a press conference this year to market the release of its latest handheld console, the Nintendo Switch, but has instead chosen to broadcast a livestream for the second year in a row. The company hopes to show off several new titles during the livestream.
Nintendo has not yet announced which games it will show during the livestream, but it is likely that several high-profile game publishers will be revealing their Nintendo Switch titles during that time.
Not hosting a press conference during the event means that other major videogame companies will be overshadowing Nintendo. Microsoft has already announced that it will be revealing its Project Scorpio console and Sony is expected to show exclusive trailers for several upcoming titles.
Just like every year, E3 will be taking place in Los Angeles, California, USA. The three-day industry event will start on June 13th 2017 and will run until June 15th 2017.
