PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds development studio Bluehole has announced it will be addressing client and server performance issues that players have reported over the past several months.

According to a recent announcement, the studio will focus on the performance of the game running locally as well as the connection latency of multiplayer servers.

In terms of local performance, the studio will introduce changes that should improve frame rates and prevent random frame drops. One of the ways the studio is planning on doing this is by not rendering objects, characters and vehicles that are out of view.

In addition, the studio has identified several issues that affect frame rate, such as generating too many particle effects and rendering too much detail when too many vehicles or characters are on the screen at the same time.

In terms of server performance the studio promises to look into connectivity issues such as lag and disconnects. Over the past month latency has become worse and players have noticed this by getting shot while replays and death cams don't show any registered hits.

The studio is also working on new content, such as tweaks to the third upcoming map Sanhok by introducing new objects and the new three-wheeled vehicle Tukshai.
