Indie developer Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, has released the first screenshot of the upcoming multiplayer mode for Stardew Valley. The mode was announced last year.


The new screenshot was released by Barone on Twitter earlier today. The image shows up to four players playing together. A functional chat window can also be seen.

The new multiplayer mode is expected to be included in an upcoming update for the game that was announced last December.

In addtion to multiplayer, the upcoming update is also said to contain new content and features, including a new winter collection, signs, outdoor decorations and new NPC events.

The update for Stardew Valley is expected to launch later this year. It will be released for PC first and for consoles sometime after the initial release.
