The WWII shooter game Battalion 1944 has received a large update that brings many long-requested features to the game, including a visual overhaul, performance improvements and more.


The new update for the game was released earlier this month and features a wide variety of changes affecting pretty much every aspect of the game.

The most notable changes in this update are the visual overhaul, which both makes the game look better and improves performance, the competitive overhaul, which tweaks the wartide mode, improved netcode to ensure fair gameplay, and new spectator tools.

In addition, the update also brings the new Battlerank progression system that allows players to earn seasonal cosmetic rewards, a new competitive map Savoia, Italy, LAN server support and weapon balance tweaks.

The shooter game has been battling an incredibly negative stigma ever since its Early Access launch back in February, mostly because of initial server issues, framerate issues and the over-prevalent focus on esports.
