ILMxLab has announced that the Star Wars virtual reality game Trials of Tatooine will be available starting Monday, July 18th, completely free of charge. The release date of the game was announced during Star Wars Celebration Europe in London.
Along with the announcement the developer has also released the first official trailer for the game. In the game players have the ability to change their virtual reality controller into a virtual lightsaber as they battle it out against stormtroopers and TIE-fighters on the iconic Star Wars planet Tatooine.
The game currently only has support for the HTC Vive, Valve's virtual reality headset. The developer has not yet revealed whether it will release an update to add support for the Oculus Rift in the near future.
The game will be available via Valve's Steam store starting Monday, July 18th.
