Square Enix has announced it will be bringing the action role-playing game The World Ends with You to the Nintendo Switch ten years after its original release.

In the game players play as Neku, an anti-social boy who claims he doesn't "get" people, and rarely interacts with others.

When he encounters the mysterious girl Shiki he gets cought up in a deadly game. He will be 'erased' from existence if he can't complete a series of twisted tasks.

The Nintendo Switch version of the game is titled "The World Ends With You: Final Remix" and releases ten years after the original Nintendo DS release from 2007.

The new version of the action role-playing game will include a new scenario that is said to get to the heart of the game's original story.

The World Ends with You: Final Remix launches later this year for Nintendo Switch.
