Sony has annouced that it will increase the price of its PlayStation Plus subscription service by €10 in Europe. North American users were already affected last year.
With the increase in price gamers will now have to pay €59.99 a year instead of €49.99. The quarterly price will also change from €19.99 to €29.99.
According to the announcement, Sony will change the price on August 31, 2017, and existing subscribers will have to cancel the service if they do not wish to pay the higher price automatically.
North American gamers were already affected by the price change last September when Sony changed the subscription price to $59.99 a year and $29.99 per quarter respectively.
A reason for the price increase was not given, however recent fiscal quarter reports suggest that the company wants to maximize its revenue from the service.

One would assume they'd try do that by improving the service, not by increasing the cost with 0 reasoning behind it...
