Development studio Psyonix has announced that Rocket League has hit the 40 million player milestone. The new figure combines activity of all editions of the game.
In the game players race around in gigantic stadiums where they must try to score as many points as possible by hitting a giant football to make sure it lands in the opponents goal.
The vehicles that players control have several unique abilities. For example, breaking almost instantly, jumping and driving on vertical surfaces.
The milestone shows that the game is still increasing in popularity. However, its growth rate does seem to deteriorate slowly.
Rocket League is available for PC, Mac, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch.
