Nintendo has shown off the new Ninteno Switch console on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. During the program President of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aimé guided Fallon through both Super Mario Run and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

During the program Fils-Aimé first showed Super Mario Run running on an iPhone as several other Nintendo employees, including Shigeru Miyamoto, were watching the presentation in the audience.

After showing the new Mario game Fils-Aimé revealed a working version of the Nintendo Switch as he showcased the console's capabilities while playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is the first time that the console was shown off on a TV show.

At the end of the presentation Fils-Aimé once again reiterated previous statements that indicate that Nintendo is planning to release more information about the Nintendo Switch at a press conference hosted on January 12th 2017.
