Indie developer Leonard Menchiari has released a trailer for a remastered edition of The Eternal Castle. The game was supposedly released in 1987, but details are scarce.
The game sends players on a powerful journey packed with dangers and challenges through fast-paced melee action, calibrated ranged attacks, and cautious stealth approaches.
If anything, the game is an attempt to modernize retro memories and experiences and is not actually a remaster as the title suggests. Staying true to the '80s retro experience, the game is depicted in classic CGA graphics, meaning that the entire game is rendered with just four colors at a time.
The game is said to feature 20 different levels across 5 unique worlds, each featuring bosses to defeat. The game also features 10 different weapons and 10 different abilities to unlock.
The Eternal Castle: Remastered releases on January 5, 2019, for PC and Mac.
