Studio Wildcard launches ARK: Scorched Earth, releases new trailer

Studio Wildcard has released the first paid expansion for ARK: Survival Evolved called ARK: Scorched Earth. To honor the launch of the new expansion pack the studio has released a new trailer.


In the new expansion players spawn in a desert island with several new creatures that roam the area. Players must find water, hunt for food, harvest, craft items, and build shelter to have any chance for survival.

The new map is divided in six different desert themed biomes: dunes, high desert, mountains, canyons, badlands and oasis, each with their own aesthetic and ecosystem. The biomes are littered with ruins, geysers, and intricate ancient cave system.

Even though ARK: Survival Evolved is still in Early Access the game's developer has chosen to release a paid expansion. On various online platforms the game's fans are criticize Studio Wildcard for releasing an expansion while the game is still in Early Access.

ARK: Scorched Earth is available now for €19.99 for PC and Xbox One.
