The sequel to EA Games' Star Wars Battlefront may be released in the fall of 2017, EA Games CFO Blake Jorgensen has suggested. The game could possibly be titled Star Wars Battlefront 2, even though the title clashes with the original Battlefront 2 game title.
EA Games' CFO Blake Jorgensen made the statements in a shareholder earnings call earlier today. According to Jorgensen the game is coming "a year from now."
The game will be the direct sequel to EA Games' Star Wars Battlefront, which released in November 2015 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. "We're working very hard on making sure that is an extremely deep and engaging offering." Jorgensen continued.
According to the CFO the game will feature "bigger and better worlds" and that the game will make use of content from "the new Star Wars movies", though he did not mention which movies specifically. The first game mostly featured content from the original Star Wars trilogy.
