The remastered edition of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, will be available separately starting June 26. A source close to the marketing division of Activision has confirmed to us earlier today.
The game is the remastered edition of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that was released in 2007. The original title is still considered one of the best Call of Duty games of the franchise.
After the release of the game in 2007 many more titles followed, nine to be exact, that were all of lesser quality. Fans of the franchise consider recent Call of Duty games to be milking the succes of the original Modern Warfare title, claiming that newer titles bring no innovation or gameplay changes.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was released alongside Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare last year when it released in November. Only those who had purchased the $109.99 Deluxe Edition were able to play the game.
The remastered edition of the game enjoyed far less popularity than the original title, in part because it didn't feature all of the original maps when it first released, but also because the game features a microtransaction model that puts skins and powerful weapons behind a paywall.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered releases separately on June 26th 2017 for PlayStation 4. The PC and Xbox One version will be released at a later date. An official press release is expected to be released later this week.
Update: Activision has officially announced that the game will be available separately worldwide on June 27, 2017. Some retailers will start selling the game separately on June 26, 2017, as originally reported.

This comment has been removed. What a ripoff to those who bought full game for remaster, but not surprising...
