Ubisoft has announced that it has delayed the release of two downloadable content packs for Tom Clancy's The Division. The development studio says it wants to spend more time on improving the base game.

In the announcement Ubisoft claims that it will spend more time on improving the base game instead of focusing on releasing downloadable content. The two delayed downloadable content packs are Survival and Last Stand.

The content pack Survival was scheduled to launch together with the release of the game's 1.4 update that was supposed to launch this summer.

The 1.4 update will now be released in October independently from the Survival content pack. The game's third content pack Last Stand will be launching early 2017.

In the statement the company says that it has become clear through player feedback and Ubisoft's own observations that its priority should now be on improving the core gameplay experience.

The development studio wants to address some of the game's most pressing issues, such as bugs, loot and time to kill and set the foundations for future improvements such as PvP and the game's Dark Zone game mode.
