The development team behind Total War: Warhammer 2, the direct sequel to the first title, has released a new trailer that features new in-engine footage.
The new trailer gives players a first look at the Lizardmen by presenting the race with a cinematic action sequence that was rendered inside the game's engine. The Lizardmen race is just one of at least four playable races included in the game.
In the game's campaign Lizardmen are fighting High Elves because they interfere with the Cosmic Gates, an ancient device that can open a portal into the Realm of Chaos. For such a heinous transgressions, the Lizardmen claim the Elves must be punished as decreed by Mazdamundi, the Lord of the Solar City.
The four races that have been confirmed thus far are High Elves, Dark Elves, and Lizardmen. Whether more races will be announced at a later date is still unknown.
Total War: Warhammer 2 is expected to be released this fall for PC, Linux and OS X.
