Valve has released a new update for Steam that adds support for the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. The Nintendo Switch controller can be purchased separately.

The new Steam update is currently only available for those who entered Steam's beta program. Because all Nintendo Switch controllers make use of Bluetooth Steam is able to fully support the devices.

With Pro Controller support players are able to make use of the Steam Community to exchange and rate controller mappings and tweak them to their liking to play their own PC games.

The update is expected to make its way to the production version of Steam next month.
