Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered will release in July, publisher THQ Nordic has announced earlier today. The game is the remastered edition of the 2009 original.

On the PC, Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro the game will feature "fully reworked" graphics with heavily reworked textures and graphical features such as specular maps, improved shadow rendering, improved lighting, shader and post-processing rework and native 4K resolution support.

Other than various graphical changes, the remastered edition of the game seems to feature the same content as the original 2009 release. The most memorable feature of the original title was its innovate physics-based destruction system that allowed players to destroy buildings.

For PC players the remastered edition will be available free of charge for those who have already purchased the 2009 edition of the game.

Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered will release on July 3, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
