Danish entertainment company Nordisk Film has announced it has acquired the development studio behind the Just Cause franchise.
According to a recent press release, the company has acquired all shares and takes full ownership of Avalanche Studios. The studio works on several popular franchises, including Just Cause and Mad Max.
Nordisk Film already acquired a minority ownership share in the studio back in April 2017, which is now being complemented by a 89 million euro acquisition of the remaining shares.
The company further states the studio's strategy will "remain unaltered" as it stays a creatively independent game studio. The studio is currently working with Bethesda on the upcoming shooter game Rage 2.
