In a recent interview Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios chairman Shawn Layden has stated that he believes that Hello Games is still working on getting the indie space exploration game No Man's Sky up to par with the original vision of the game.

In the interview Layden says that he believes that Hello Games is still working on updating the game behind the scenes. The development team still has not publicly commented on the game's overwhelmingly negative feedback following its launch.

"I think Hello Games, Sean Murray and his team, had an incredible vision of what they were going to create. Something never done before. And a very small team had a very huge ambition. Now, they're still working at it. They're still updating it. They are trying to get it close enough, or closer to, to what their vision was." Layden said.

Whether Layden has actual insider information is unknown, but it could be possible that Hello Games is indeed still working on getting the game up to par with the promises of the studio and the expectations of the players.

"Nobody in development wants to say that they can't do a thing. Nobody wants to say 'No, I can't do that for you'. People are really trying. The game industry is where everybody has the courage to say yes. And they want to try to realize their vision. Nobody slings away from a huge challenge, and sometimes you just don't get all the way there the first time." Layden added.

Last month a former Hello Games employee abused the game developer's Twitter account by posting that "No Man's Sky was a mistake.". Hello Games founder Sean Murray first stated that it was the work of hackers, but later confirmed that the tweet was posted by an employee.
