Nintendo has released a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at The Game Awards earlier today. As expected the trailer shows new environments, items, characters and lore.


The new trailer focuses on a particular part of the game's world: the ruins. This part of the world was destroyed by an attack that seems to originate from a a large castle.

The video also introduces a new female character, though does not show her face. At some point in the game's story line the character seems to be fighting alongside Link.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is expected to launch in 2017 for Nintedo Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
