The March 17th release date has not officially been confirmed yet, but it is possible that the stores have released the correct release date too early.

Nintendo will be hosting a Nintendo Switch press conference tomorrow in Tokyo, Japan, where it is expected to reveal more details on the release date, specifications and launch line-up.

Earlier today Nintendo New York also announced that it will be taking pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch starting tomorrow.

Update: The release date for the Nintendo Switch is March 3rd 2017.
