Because the game features an open-world environment players are able to progress through the game's campaign in different ways. The game features a wide range of vehicles, including boats, buggies, motorcycles, helicopters and airplains.

Players are also able to decide on their own when and which orders to give to their team members depending on the situation and tactical choices.

In the game players can create their own Ghost character and customize it to their liking by changing clothes, camouflage, hairstyles. Players are also able to pick from a wide variety of weapons and attachments, which, according to the developers, will result in millions of different combinations.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands launches March 7th 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
