The development team behind the popular Half-Life remake Black Mesa has announced it will be rolling out the complete Xen chapter to public beta in August.
The release of the Xen and Gonarch's Lair chapters to the public beta branch will allow the development team to thoroughly test all components of the campaign and catch bugs faster.
Once the team feels it is able to ensure a smooth launch the Xen campaign will be pushed out of the beta branch for everyone to enjoy.
Last month the development team already released several Xen levels as part of a technical beta. The technical beta was released because the development team wants to collect bugs and feedback on a wide range of different machines now that it has spent a significant amount of time improving and changing Valve's Source engine.
The Black Mesa Xen and Gonarch's Lair chapters will roll out to the public beta branch on August 1, 2019. The concluding chapters Interloper, Nihilanth, and Endgame will release soon after.
The team urges those who are looking for the complete Xen experience to wait because "it won't be long" until all chapters will be available.
