Sean Murray has revealed Hello Games has settled a case with british TV, internet and telephone provider Sky. The latter company sued the developer of the game over the use of the word "Sky" in the game's title. Sky is currently in the hands of the infamous Rupert Murdoch.

According to recent tweets from Murray, the founder of Hello Games, the case began a little over 3 years ago and was not talked about publicly.

"We can call our game No Man's Sky. 3 years of secret stupid legal nonsense over." the tweet reads. Last month the developer announced it had to delay the game for "additional polish". Whether the case played a role in the game's delay is unclear.

It isn't the first time Sky has started ridiculous lawsuits over the usage of the word "Sky". In 2013 the company sued Microsoft when it revealed SkyDrive, the cloud file hosting service. Microsoft was forced to change the name of its service to OneDrive.

No Man's Sky is set to release August 9th in the US and August 10th in Europe for PC and Playstation 4.
