Development studio Mojang has confirmed that it has delayed the cross-platform multiplayer update for the Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft. The update will allow Nintendo Switch players to play with players who play on PC or Xbox One.
The "Better Together" multiplayer update was announced earlier this year and a beta version was rolled out in August.
Eventually the update will allow PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS gamers to play together. The PlayStation 4 version of the game will not be getting cross-platform multiplayer capabilities because Sony does not allow the feature.
The Minecraft "Better Together" update for Nintendo Switch is now scheduled to launch in early 2018.
