Publisher Sega and development studio Creative Assembly have announced Total War: Warhammer 2. The RTS game is the sequel to the first Total War: Warhammer game.
Total War: Warhammer 2 will introduce four new playable races: High Elves, Dark ELves, Lizardmen and an announced race as well as several new locations, including Ulthuan, Naggaroth, The Southlands and Lustria.
The game will feature the same gameplay mechanics that were introduced in the first game but will contain a new storyline for the game's singleplayer campaign in which the races fight over the Great Vortex.
Along with the game's announcement Sega has also released a cinematic trailer that features computer-generated imagery instead of real gameplay footage to market the game.
Total War: Warhammer 2 is expected to be released this fall for PC, Linux and OS X.
