Valve has released a teaser image for an "updated and refined" version of the iconic Counter-Strike map Dust 2 for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The map was pulled from the game's competitive map pool in Feburary.
The map was pulled from the game's competitive map pool in February, 2017, because its developers considered the map to be outdated compared to the other maps that are available in the game.
Althrough the developers have not yet commented on what exactly they have changed in the new version, the team did note that it wants to remedy some of the issues that currently exist and touch up the map's graphics so that it is in par with the other maps.
The iconic map has been part of the competitive Counter-Strike scene for over 16 years since it first released in March 2001 as a free addition to Counter-Strike 1.1.
It is still unclear when the map will be added to the Active Duty Group again but the developers did confirm that it will be available via the game's alternate beta test branch soon.
