Hello Games has announced that it will be releasing an update for No Man's Sky this week. The update is said to bring a new vehicle to the game to aid home planet exploration.
The new update that the indie development studio calls the Path Finder update will add a new vehicle to the game to help players more easily explore their home planet.
The vehicle that will be added to the game is likely the same dune buggy vehicle that was found in a previously released patch back in December of 2016. Game modders were already able to spawn the vehicle model included in the Foundation Update patch but were unable to use it because of bugs and missing code.
The new dune buggy vehicle will only be usable on the player's home planet and will not be usable to explore the terrain of other planets that have been discovered.
Also included in the new update are several fixes by bugs that were reported by players since the release of the Foundation Update patch.
The announcement further states that the indie game developer was "surprised and excited by the response to Foundation" and that they "have been listening carefully to community feedback since then."
Now that the contents of the second major update are revealed the chances of the game getting the features that were advertised before the release of the game, such as multiplayer and faction combat, are becoming increasingly slimmer.
