Rockstar Games has released details on the pre-order bonuses for Red Dead Redemption 2. The studio has also revealed the contents of the game's Collector's Box.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available in three different editions: Digital Edition, Special Edition, and Ultimate Edition. The Collector's Box will be available separately and won't include the game itself.

The Digital Edition will contain the game, the War Horse, the Outlaw Survival Kit, a singleplayer cash bonus and a physical treasure map.

The Special Edition and Ultimate Edition is where it gets rather noteworthy as these two editions will include exclusive story mode content that won't be available via the standard game.

The exclusive story content is said to be a Bank Robbery mission and Gang Hideouts. This content is said to be specifically created for these editions as the studio considers these side activities that are not part of the main story.

In addition, players who get these editions also get access to the Dappled Black Thoroughbred Horse, The Nuevo Paraiso Gunslinger Outfit, Talisman and Medallion gameplay bonuses, gameplay boosts, cash bonuses and three free weapons at gunsmiths.

The Ultimate Edition features additional bonus content for online multiplayer, such as outfits, rank bonuses, the Black Chestnut Thoroughbred Horse, and free access to additional weapons.

Finally, the studio has also announced a separate Collector's Box. This box only features marketing items such as pin sets, a metal tithing box and a catalogue, and won't include the game itself.

The Special Edition will retail for $84.99 US in North America and €84.99 in Europe and the Ultimate Edition will set back players a whopping $99.99 US in North America and €99.99 in Europe.

If that wasn't a steep price already, the Collector's Box will retail for $99.99 US in North America and €99.99 in Europe. This means that for those who want to purchase both the Ultimate Edition and the Collector's Box the total cost will be roughly $200 US or €200 depending on their region.

Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on October 26, 2018, for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A PC release was not announced.
