Epic Games Japan representative Takayuki Kawasaki has stated that the company expects many titles built upon its Unreal Engine 4 to be released for the Nintendo Switch.

Kawasaki made the statements in an interview with a Japanese virtual reality website. In the interview he did not specifically comment on which games would be released for the console but did confirm that it includes many ports as well as several new games.

In addition, Kawasaki stated that Epic Games Japan has high hopes for the Nintendo Switch as it expects the Japanese console market to florish when the console launches later this year.

Nintendo is expected to reveal more information about the Nintendo Switch at a press conference in Tokyo, Japan, on January 13th 2016.
