Development studio GSC Game World has announced that it is working on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. The game is the sequel to the previous games in the franchise, Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat.
The game was announced via the launch of a teaser website that simply displays its logo and a 2021 release window.
The game is likely in early development since the studio targets a release window that is still three years away. As such, actual gameplay footage or screenshots have yet to be released.
GSC Game World is the same studio that was behind the other two games S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, both of which were critically acclaimed. The last game was released in 2009.
