The update features several balance tweaks to the Adventure mode missions, affecting how often opponents use Zone Shots, how quickly opponents respond to shots and how much Energy is refilled.

In addition, Online Tournaments will see a new rating feature that will be added on July 1, 2018. Rating scores will start a 2,000 and can either go up or down depending on wins and losses.

With the new rating system Nintendo hopes to introduce a way of players to see how strong opponents are. However, the in-game raking board will continue to be based on Total Points.
