The next update for the shooter game Insurgency: Sandstorm will be released in early November instead of this month. The development team has been working on the update ever since it decided to delay the game's release.
While development studio New World Interactive never confirmed an actual release date for the update, it was targeting a release this month. It has now announced that the update will release on November 8, 2018, instead.
In addition, the update features new anti-aliasing and other additional graphical settings, low scope quality improvements, improvements to character animation and movement and various balance improvements.
Numerous gameplay tweaks to movement speed, weapon mechanics, armour, fire support, map layouts, and hundreds of bug fixes and improvements are also included.
According to a recent announcement, the update will now also feature "a series of new optimizations to push frame rates higher and reduce micro-stuttering" and the new Alpha AK assault rifle weapon for the Insurgent Advisor class.
The game was supposed to release in September but was delayed when a significant amount of players reported performance issues.
Insurgency: Sandstorm is scheduled to release on December 12, 2018.
